Welcome to the National ICL website

This website was developed by National Legal Aid to:

Provide information, news and resources to the public about the role of the ICL in Family Law proceedings; and

Provide exclusive ICL member only access to National and State/Territory resources, forums, news, events and training for all Legal Aid ICL panel practitioners across Australia via secure login.

It is hoped this website will be an invaluable resource for ICLs across the country, supporting them in their work with children in vulnerable circumstances.

ICL Mentoring Program

The National ICL Mentoring Program unites new ICL members seeking professional guidance and support with more experienced ICLs who are willing to volunteer their time to assist new ICLs.

To ensure mentors and mentees build mutually beneficial relationships in a confidential, non-judgmental environment, the Program will be supported through the Group Forums facility of the website.

To apply for the mentoring program, you need to first register to become a member and then go to our “forum” page and click on the appropriate link.
